I'm Sonja, and I help business owners, leaders, and marketers grow in a way that’s not only effective, but energising.
Not just smart, but deeply aligned.
I believe business can be a powerful vehicle for evolving not just what you do, but who you are.
Because I’ve lived it.
I’ve known success that looked great from the outside, but it was exhausting and unfulfilling, like living in a golden cage. I’ve been on top of the world, and I’ve also felt lost, stuck, and unsure of my next move.
But I’ve never stopped growing. And that’s the energy I bring into every collaboration and conversation: grounded, strategic, expansive, human.
With a global perspective and a local heart, I’ve supported leaders and business owners across industries and continents, helping them create strategic growth that is both effective and deeply aligned.
Adventure, risk, and starting over
I’ve always been a pioneer and ahead of my time.
In 2001, I left a thriving corporate career and an exciting marketing leadership role in health and fitness in Europe.
My husband and I sold our home, packed our backpacks, and set off to travel the world.
Somewhere between Vietnam and Guatemala, our travel website that we built went viral, before “viral” was even a thing.
During this time, we fell in love with Sydney, so we moved there with just spare cash in our back pockets, no safety net, and no clear plan… only trust, grit, and an adventurous spirit.
Before we knew it we had jobs, a sponsor, and a visa. It taught me the power of determination, teamwork, and to live with curiosity, courage, and an unwavering confidence in new possibilities.
Then came the twins
When our twin boys were born, I was pushed in ways I never expected and saw the world through a completely new lens.
I stepped away from my global marketing leadership role in the travel industry, and into entrepreneurship.
In 2009, I founded Twinlife Marketing to offer strategic marketing support in a flexible, human-first way.
At the time, the words hybrid, remote, and trust-based weren’t part of the mainstream business vocabulary. But they were already part of how I worked.
I offered experienced marketers the opportunity to do meaningful work, while also having great family and life balance.
Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of business owners and marketers create sustainable growth, build strong internal capabilities, and evolve their leadership.
The birth of Twinlife Forward
For a long time, I led with logic. Strategy, results, impact. It all made sense, and I loved it.
But over time, something felt off. The business still worked… but I didn’t feel lit up by it anymore.
Then I co-founded a business in the team coaching space. It had all the right ingredients, but we couldn’t get the lift-off. It was humbling, and it cracked something open in me.
It marked the beginning of a new chapter: A shift from building with my mind to building with alignment, energy, and inner authority.
I went deeper. I trained in Neuro Emotional Integration, studied Human Design, and began integrating it all with what I already knew about business, marketing strategy, and leadership.
Everything changed
Not overnight…but in a way that felt more real, more grounded, and like the wiser me who trusts both logic and intuition.
That journey led to Twinlife Forward - my next evolution.
Where strategy meets deep transformation. Where business growth moves in step with personal alignment. Where structure and soul work together to create progress that’s not only effective, but deeply fulfilling.
Because a solid strategy alone isn't enough to create success that works and feels good.
It has to align with who you are today, and where you’re ready to go next.

A bit more about me
Born and raised in the Netherlands, I left with an MBA, 5 languages, and a readiness to explore the world.
I’ve travelled widely, worked across industries, cultures, and continents, and built a life rich in connection and curiosity.
Well-being, health, and keeping active are central in my life, and time in nature fuels my energy and ideas.
Relationships built on trust light me up, as do deep conversations over a glass of good wine.
I believe presence matters more than perfection - and I still get a thrill every time a client has a breakthrough or fresh realisation.
I believe that true growth happens in relationship - with ourselves, with others, and with the work we do. That’s why every partnership I create is built on deep trust, presence, and mutual commitment.
